A family owned and operated campground located just miles from Natural Bridge and the Red River Gorge in Bowen, Kentucky. The owner, Shane Bowen, had a dream to provide a place where folks could come and enjoy themselves in a safe peaceful setting and to recreate the welcoming atmosphere which once existed in days past.  Many years ago his great grandmother, Callie Bowen, hosted a campground and pay lake much like today.  Shane is assisted by his daughter, who not only carries her great great grandmother’s name “Callie” but has her outgoing and willful spirit.

The camping sites are primitive, peaceful and scerine.  We are currently working toward electricity and water hook ups and hope to have them in working order soon.   Each primitive site has a fire ring and picnic tables.   Many sites are shaded, and close to our 4 acre, beautiful, fully stocked lake.  The lake is onsite for recreational “catch and release” fishing!

Firewood is available, contact Shane and he will bring it right to your site.   Pet friendly.

The campground is centrally located to Natural Bridge, Red River Gorge and the Clifty Wilderness Area.

Come and enjoy the beautiful lake and mountains.  Take a short drive through the country to find the best spots for hiking, rock-climbing, zip-lining, canoeing, fishing, and muddin!   It’s a great place to relax and just get away!
